Geotechnical & Environmental Drilling Services
The rubber tracked CME55HT is our newest drill that we have added to our fleet. It utilizes rubber hydraulic tracks that are powered and controlled by the drill rig.
What makes our track drill so unique is the drill which sits on it. The idea behind it was to build a drill similar in sized to the geoprobe yet be able to supply more torque and more drilling options in the same sized package.
When it comes to geotechnical drilling the CME55 stands out. Yet we have taken this drill and did a few modifications. Adding CME75 parts and also scaling down the 55 to make it a light weight powerhouse.
Nodwell
The other carrier that we offer for off-road drilling support is our FN60 Nodwell. We bought the FN60 mainly to supply support to Tuggster and also too carrier our CME55 or Mobile B80 for off-road drilling in deep snow or marshes.
Unlike most Nodwells, our FN60 is pretty much restored to factory condition. It even has the factory paint on it.
All the system function like new and has a emergency parking brake. The Nodwell has a 10ft flatbed that is capable of carrying either the B80 or CME55. With no drill on the deck it can support the Tuggster.
HOLLOW STEM AUGERS
Wininger Drilling has two of the nicest CME auger drills in the state of Alaska. We offer a CME75HT and a CME55. Both of which we rebuilt to like new condition. The CME75HT is truck mounted on an International 4800 4x4. The CME55 is skid mounted and can set on any carrier (Tuggster or Nodwell). Below are specs on both drill rigs.
DEEP GEOTECHNICAL DRILLING
Typically when speaking geotechnical holes the average depth is 20ft - 40ft. However there are occasions that you see 50ft plus geotechnical holes. When this occurs we do not use hollow stem augers. We simply switch to using our Mobile drill and the casing advancing system that we designed the drill around.
The air system we use with our Mobile drill is remarkable. We have completed geotechnical holes as deep as 200ft, bgs sampling every 2.5ft and 5ft. Both air drills are equipped with automatic SPT hammers. The other pro to the system is that the casing is extracted with ease by the drill. The system has far less expendables than an auger and will always get your hole to depth.
Over the years the system has gotten a "bad name" due to the fact that most people who use the system do not have the appropriate drill to run the system and the driller doesn't have the training. As Wininger Drilling we have over 15 years of experience running the system with a flawless resume.
Please contact us about using this system on your next project. The cost and speed of the system cannot be beat for geotechnical holes.
Tuggster
This is a unique Offroad carrier that we at Wininger Drilling built. It has worked flawlessly after extensive testing and redesigning. Some of the features that make it one of a kind are:
All in all the Tuggster is a remarkable drill carrier that can traverse most terrains in a safe and timely manner.
